Abstract

This study was designed to determine the status of the implementation of the Omanization policy, challenges associated with the Omani government in implementing the Omanization policy, and the solutions appropriate to overcome these challenges in the implementation of Omanization. Data for this study was collected through a survey that included 13 Likert-type statements developed by the researcher. The population of this study consisted of 50 human resource managers in private companies; these companies were randomly selected from the list of all companies registered in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for the Sultanate of Oman. The researcher received a total of 31 (62%) responses. The responses came from four companies with less than 25 employees (12.9%), eight companies between 25 to 49 employees (25.8%), ten companies between 50 to 99 employees (32.3%), seven companies who had between 100 to 499 employees (22.6%), and two companies with 500 or more employees (6.5%).
