Abstract
The gap between the expectations and norms of higher Educational institutions and post-graduation employers can sometimes be wide. Internships and other experiential endeavors can help bridge this gap and provide a link between the two spheres, possibly with each component reinforcing the other. This paper examines in detail one such program: the Indiana State Senate Majority Internship Program, and relates how the experiences of this program compare to predictions and suggestions found in relevant literature.
