Abstract

Marshall, Illinois is a small town with a reflecting population, so it is important to understand the environmental factors throughout. In order to provide proper promotion for the event three aspects must be considered; market environmental factors, market target audience, and current marketing performance and objectives. Some factors that might be considered are predicted profits from the event's crowd, as well as local tourist shops. The target market for the event includes those that are current residents, tourists, and those that might be interested in the events of astronomy/space. The main goal of the event is to make it as big as possible to bring in a crowd and promote business in the city of Marshall and those surrounding.
