Miller) CONTRACTOR: Repp and Mundt GROUNDBREAKING CEREMONY: January 15, 1971 DEDICATED: March 8, 1974 COST: $6,250,000 HISTORY The University's Library was completed in 1973 and dedicated in 1974.The structure houses nearly 2 million volumes arranged in an "open stack" configuration on five floors. The building is named for Arthur C. Cunningham, who served as the first librarian for Indiana State Normal School. It was noted that Cunningham gave his house for the land on which the first library building, Normal Hall, stands.
