FIELD CAMPUS, 1967 SYCAMORE OUTDOOR CENTER, 2012 The Indiana State University Sycamore Outdoor Center is an outdoor teaching, learning, and research area designed to accommodate educational programs and services. The Sycamore Outdoor Center is located on a scenic 93 acre plot of land located approximately 18 miles east of Terre Haute. The center consists of 8 man made lakes, which are fed through an underground water supply and covers 42 acres, and several acres of wooded area. The center also includes a team initiative course which helps develop individual and group team-building and leadership skills. In addition, ten platform tents and full-sized classroom facilities make the ISU Sycamore Outdoor Center a popular local attraction.
