ELECTRICAL CONTRACTOR: AAA Electric of Terre Haute DRIVING CONCOURSE CONTRACTOR: Wabash Valley Asphalt Company, Inc. all of Terre Haute, Indiana. HISTORY Indiana State University's Driver and Traffic Safety Instructional Demonstration Center is the first such consolidated driver education facility to be constructed at a university. The 500-foot-long oval multiple car driving patterns which simulate actual road and street patterns. The adjacent building houses classrooms, programmed learning equipment, traffic simulation devices, administrative offices, and research and study areas. The facility will be used to improve the quality of training of public school driver education teachers; used by beginning drivers; for re-education of drivers; for special precision driving instruction for truck, bus, postal, and other commercial operators; for driving improvement by traffic violators; and as a research center.
